| none of these are in order except the first 3 jedi mind tricks - servants in heaven, kings in hell (i can't listen to other rap albums anymore. they all seem so juvenile compared to this, even my old favorites. this is the most on point rap album i've ever heard.) mouth of the architect - the ties that blind (single handedly keeping me interested in heavy music) thom yorke - the eraser (fucking hated this at first, but now it's top 3 material. floors me now) regina spektor - begin to hope slayer - christ illusion (finally! a metal album by some pioneers that is on par with their original groundbreaking material, if only napalm death could follow suit) snow patrol - eyes open mastodon - blood mountain converge - no heroes rise against - the sufferer & the witness brand new - god and the devil are raging insdie of me (a step forward for these dudes. the guitar tone is so sullen, and so perfect) mew - and the glass handed kites tv on the radio - return to cookie mountain phoenix bodies - raise the bullshit flag verse - from anger and rage (cuz i'm on it, and 3 of my best friends are in the band, and it's actually good) daughters - hell songs hot chip - the warning (i could probably listen to hot chip for the rest of my life, even if i don't listen to any of these others) sufjan stevens - avalanche and the christmas boxset m. ward - post war russian circles - enter oroku - living through the end time jesu - silver keane - under the iron sea at the gates - slaughter of the soul re-issue (this album, with once upon the cross by deicide got me super into metal<3) dimmu borgir - stormblast re-issue deftones - saturday night wrist (might be their best work, has the heaviest riff they've ever written on it) justin timberlake - love sounds / futuresex yeah yeah yeahs - show your bones the sword - age of winters isis - in absence of the truth the mars volta - amputechture have heart - the things we carry the blood brothers - young machetes am i missing any? and please, if you're in a band, don't say your band. | ||||||||||||
